How we use AI
Grant RT uses AI to save your team time on grant discovery and writing. Here is exactly what AI does, what it doesn't do, and how we keep you in control.
What AI does
Grant discovery
AI searches federal databases (Grants.gov, SAM.gov), foundation directories, and corporate giving programs to find opportunities that match your mission, focus areas, and geography.
Application drafting
AI writes first drafts of grant narratives, budget justifications, and outreach emails using your org profile and past applications. Every draft is clearly labeled as AI-generated.
Grant matching & scoring
AI scores each opportunity against your organization's profile and ranks them by fit, with an explanation of why each score was assigned.
Donor communications
AI drafts thank-you letters, follow-up emails, and donor updates using your org's voice and writing preferences. You review and approve every message before it sends.
Social content
AI drafts social media posts based on your content calendar, audience, and tone preferences. Posts go through a 5-stage pipeline (Draft → Review → Approved → Scheduled → Posted) with human approval at each gate.
What AI never does
Submit without your sign-off
Every certified submission requires human attestation under 2 CFR 200.415. AI cannot bypass this — the Attest & Submit button is the only way an application goes out the door.
Access your financial accounts
AI has no access to bank accounts, payment methods, or financial credentials. Billing is handled entirely through PayPal's secure subscription system.
Share your data
Your organization's data — applications, donor records, financials — is never used to train AI models, shared with other organizations, or sold to third parties.
Make compliance decisions
AI surfaces compliance information (state registration requirements, reporting obligations, verification deadlines) but never makes compliance decisions for you.
How we keep humans in control
Attestation audit log
Every submission records who attested, when, and what was submitted — creating an immutable compliance trail retained for 1–7 years depending on your plan.
AI disclosure
Applications drafted with AI assistance include appropriate disclosure language. The AI-disclosure generator creates compliant disclosure text for each funder's requirements.
Review before send
AI drafts are always presented as editable drafts, not final documents. The interface is designed so that review is the natural path, not an optional extra step.
